Classic Whole House Make-Over
Scope: 2 phase, existing footprint – entire main floor, entire second floor
Problem: Some areas required better plan/design/functional changes, other areas simply needed up-dated, up-graded new materials. Master bath – a large corner tub/deck, open shower and toilet area took a disproportionate amount of space. Hall bath – a dual use for an on-suite guest bed/bath was desired. The kitchen just needed a fresh approach to the existing oak cabinets and counters as well as the powder bath. Additional storage and organization changes were desired in other miscellaneous areas, in addition to material changes.
Solution: Master bath – By reworking all spaces, the room opened up for better function, more natural light and closet space. Hall bath – A doorway and closet change provided better guest accommodations. Kitchen – Adding to the existing oak, some millwork with black “Biedermeyer” touches, new counters, backsplash and hardware gave the kitchen and family room a fresh new look with classic grounding.
Style/Personality: While the home and clients have a classic, tasteful and timeless style, there is also a wonderfully varied art collection. (Hence, they got the Biedermeyer reference.)
